GENERAL PROPERTIESThe innovative TECAPEEK ® ST is a new high performance material developed to perform in the most demanding environments -- specifically in applications requiring a combination of high temperature, mechanical performance and dimensional stability. TECAPEEK ST opens up new application opportunities for customers who work at temperatures over 300°C, such as in the electronics and energy industries.
With a glass transition temperature of 324°F (162°C) and a melting temperature of 729°F (387°C), TECAPEEK ST delivers extended high temperature performance while offering all the key characteristics of natural PEEK PolyEtherEther-Ketone polymer, including toughness, strength, and chemical resistance.
Across a wide range of demanding industrial, automotive and aerospace applications, TECAPEEK ST polymer offers manufacturers a premium material which is a more cost-effective, lightweight alternative to metals. Examples of appropriate applications for TECAPEEK ST include gears, friction bearings, wear strips, ball valve seals, bushings, pump housings, metering pistons, wafer supports, light mountings and plug parts. It's also a potential metal replacement solution for applications such as seals, disk drive carriers, connectors, turbo charger impellors, and test sockets.
TECAPEEK ST is available sheet/plate and rod forms in black color.
