GENERAL DESCRIPTIONDuratron ® T PAI is the highest performing melt processable plastic. It has superior resistance to elevated temperatures. It is capable of performing under severe stress conditions at continuous temperatures to 500°F (260°C). Parts machined from Duratron ® T PAI stock shapes provide greater compressive strength and higher impact resistance than most advanced engineering plastics. Its extremely low coefficient of linear thermal expansion and high creep resistance deliver excellent dimensional stability over its entire use range. PAI is an amorphous material with a Tg (glass transition temperature) of 537°F (280°C).
Duratron T7530 PAI (Compression Molded)
Duratron ® T7530 is 30% carbon reinforced, compression molded PAI. It offers exceptional stiffness, nonabrasive wear performance and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Key applications for T7530 PAI include metal replacement, sliding vanes, aerospace parts, impellers, shrouds, pistons, and housings.
Compression-molded Duratron ® T7530 is typically available only in larger diameter rods (in short lengths), thicker sheets, and large (but short length) tubes. Check with us for availability of T7530 in the size you need.
NOTE: This less-common carbon-reinforced grade is NOT AVAILABLE FROM STOCK, but rather can be offered ONLY BY SPECIAL ORDER ... long leadtimes and large minimum order quantities may apply when ordering this grade in sheet or rod forms.
